OLD Friend

Old Friend, so many days we have shared together

We have seen the summer, tasted the blackberries and worked through death together.  We even focused every ounce of belief and hope we could to heal that what was not possible.

We have seen the comings, the comings of winter. But found it to be more beautiful that most any summer day.  The colors, raising mist, thawing ice, sliding every so slowly down the thin branches, sparkling like diamonds as God's sunlite rays are passed through.  What amazing times.

We have seen the good, the bad together. With never an unkind word.

For I know there is so much more of you than we will ever know, but I am thankful just to know you.

The Cycle

There is a cycle of all things, from creation to creator and back again.  Every living thing, every inert thing is all connected in some fashion or another. If we reduce ourselves to the smallest of smallest thing we can name we would have no name because we would no longer exist. The grand scope and plan of who we are, why we are, and what our purpose is, is beyond anything we think we have already understood.  All we know is someday we will no longer be the same, no longer the drip of water on the end of the stem.

Nature's Strange Pranks

Sometimes we see what we see, others we see what we want to see. We have great filters as well as imagination.  We can look into the clouds and see many things.  We are not sure what the clouds see of us. But you have to be quick before the winds shift and what was is no longer. Did you see what you wanted to ?
