River History

Every day, hundreds go down this river, hundreds of stories, lost in the flowing current, maybe captured or remembered in sorts.  Men fought the river to make their living in wooden boats, miners built bridges and carved trails in the mountain side to make use of it. Indians fought to keep it. Eagles still own it, shared with the Osprey, bears and deers. Some have lost their lives on it, some regained their lives because of it. It is also its own flood epic.  It is a living thing, capturing imagination and challenge.
