The Seam
We constantly shift back and forth between what we know or believe to be and what we don't know. We are told to believe sometimes, regardless, in spite of information to the contrary. Thinking requires effort, information, and constant assessment. Deciding takes seconds, informed or not. Language, reason, science, philosophy and the emotions fear, hate, jealousy, greed, and ego, to name a few, are all we have to make sense out of what we encounter, what we learn to value - our ability to reason and understand and our "Sense of Life ". How and what we decide bends our Fate and our children's children.
The Other Something
Our language may be insufficient. Inside of us, somehow is this feeling of more, this place and time where language as we know it, values and virtues as we know it may be inadequate or unable to carry us forward. Its that seam between what we know and don't know that exists in the mind and heart but cant be described. It is as in a dream, where you are an observer, and playing before you is this movie, you are there, yet you do not hear anything, but you understand as if you did, it is real, it is crazy, time does not exist, only the play on stage created in your mind. Is this the soul connecting? Is this altered consciousness? Does all you know apply? Or is all knowledge, and experience not necessary? Your dream just is, and was, very real.
